Green Mamba- Wet Specimen

These large, arboreal, venomous snakes live throughout sub-Saharan Africa in tropical rainforests and savannas. 
They have smooth scales, flat-sided (coffin-shaped) heads, long front fangs, and a powerful neurotoxic venom.
All my specimens are formalin fixed, leached and transitioned up to 70% isopropyl alcohol.
This guy was once green but the green and yellow pigments tend to break down very quickly, turning the snake a grey- blue tone 💙
It's not uncommon to see snakes with green spots visible (their gall bladder tends to start leaking shortly after death) but I injected him thoroughly and punctured the gall bladder during processing. Price reflects aesthetic (only visible from the back).
